Welcome Home

After we had followed Christine's adventures in Tanzania, we couldn't wait for her to get home and tell us all about it.

I had been hiding myself away in the garage for a few days making a welcome home banner to meet her at the airport with, and I couldn't wait. We were very proud of what she had been doing, but it was going to be lovely to have her back home, safe and sound, and back on Yorkshire soil.

Finally the infomation board at Leeds/Bradford Airport showed the words we had been waiting for - 'Flight Landed' and then the next thing we knew she was walking towards me and Dot from the 'Arrivals' door.

After a quick photo call with the banner (which she loved by the way) we set off for home.

The following night was to be party night - I had already asked all our family members to come over to see Chris, raise a glass or two and have a good old family get together.

Needless to say there was plenty of beer flowing and food a plenty, and I think you can probably guess what the most popular topic of converdsation was !!!!!

We certainly had a great night, can't wait until the next one... Here are just a few of the photo's taken on the night ... Cheers ...












And finally, a word from our mountaineer: “I would like to send a great big THANKYOU to everyone who came to congratulate and celebrate the night away with me, I had the best time ever and I have to say you all completely overwhelmed me and totally blew me away ... ...
